Obituary.
Anna Gladys Gwin, the youngest daughter of William H. and Elizabeth A. Gwin was born March 20, 1802, and died Aug. 7, 1898, aged 6 years, 4 months, 18 days. She was stricken with that dread disease diphtheria and never being very strong the battle for life was soon over. She leaves a mother, three sisters and three brothers to mourn her early death, her father having preceded her to her heavenly home nearly three years agoShe was an unusually pleasant child in her home life and will not only be sadly missed there but also by the little girl friends she loved to play with. We watched her breathing through tbe night Her breathing soft and low As In her breast the wave of llfo Kept heaving to and fro. For when the morn came, dim and sad, And chill with early showers. Her quiet eyelids closed; she had Anothei morn than oure. Brief services were held in the yard at the home and at the grave by Rev. H. M. Middleton. No effort was made to have a public funeral, but many relatives and neighbors came in of their own accord.
