The Moon In August.

August has two full moons, one on the first and the other on the thirty-first. The new moon comes on the 17th, the first quarter on the 24th and the last quarter on the 29th. The moon is nearest the earth on the night of the 28th and farthest from it on the 12th. Tlh> August meteors will appear on the night of the 10th, radiating from the constellation in the northeast.
