Springing Up Like Mushrooms.
New electric railroads are being organized every once iu a while. Some weeks ago Electrician Gilmore, of the Michigan, Indiana and Illinois electric railroad got lo3t in the wilds of Clay county, looking for most any old rights of way for his road, and now the towns which he left in his unprotected rear are taking advantage of his absence to organize electric railroads of their own. Thus Monticello has a company which proposes to start most any place and end most any where, with Monticello a division point, both going and coming. Winarnac has followed with a company to build a road from Rensselaer. And now comes Lafayette with an electric road 110 miles long, passing over a good deal the same route as Gilmore, Sears and their outfit were figuring on.
