WITH NON-UNION LABOR.

Big Saah and Door Plants at Uihkoth Rriunie After a Long Idleness. Oshkosh, Wi»., Aug. 4.—Five of the six big sash and door plants which have been closed down for the past five weeks on account of the woodworkers’ strike have started ugagain under police protection with small nonunion crews. The Foster-Hafner plant did not start on account of not securing a crew. The strikers had pickets at all the mills, but there was no demonstration and no trouble. A drizzling rain helped to keep things quiet. Less than a dozen of the union strikers returned to work although the mill men say they, have the names of many who have agreed to return as soon as satisfied of protection, and that the mills will run without further interruption. The strike has now lasted nearly 12 weeks. Four hundred men went to work and all factories but. one Are running. The crews will be gradually increased, it is expected.
