The Coming of The Circus.
Wednesday’s Dally lx? Wallace’s circus arrived about 11 o’clock this forenoon. It was several hours behind the expected time of arrival and naturally great hustling was required to get the cars unloaded, and the material all hauled down to the grounds, in the south part of Leopold’s addition* and the big tents pitched in time for the show. The show exhibited at Greencastle, yesterday, and had bad luck. A big storm struck them and worked havoc with their tents. Among other results was the breaking of the great center pole of the circus tent. The parade did not take place until 1:30 p. m. It was a very imposing demonstration. Wagons, chariots, band wagons, performers on horseback and on foot, with elephants and camels and the steam caliope bringing up the rear, made one of the biggest and best circus parades ever seen in Rensselaer. ’
