Lost His Voice.
A man’s voice is an unusual thing to lose in a fire, and if so lost they are never covered by insurance. J. R. Vanatta has lost his voice, and if not in the recent fire, at least as a result of it. He caught cold the other evening in washing out his harness shop room, preparatory to moving back into it, and as a consequence can not speak above a whisper. It is three years since he has had a recurrence of the trouble. It is a very unpleasant affliction and sometimes lasts a long time; on one occasion continuing for ten months.
