A Special Meeting.

The City Council had a special meeting, Friday evening. The waterworks committee was authorized to have certain defects in the section pipes at the waterworks corrected. The contractors of the waterworks agree to do the work, without charge, and the city to pay for the material used. It will cost the city about §l5O. The Indiana Macadam Company was allowed §052.15 for 30 car loads of crushed rock, from Monon; 8400 of the amount is payable Jan. Ist, at 6 per cent, interest. The rest is payable now. It waadecided that people living away from the vicinity of watermains and who want to use the city water, can have it piped- to to them at their expense, and what they pay for the piping be credited to them on future water rents.
