The Rathbone Sisters.
Their District Convention a Great Success. The order of the Rathbone Sisters, which is the womens’ branch of Knights of Pythias, is like the 1 latter, divided into districts, this county and several others forming district No. 4. Like the Pythians the Rathbone Sisters have instituted a system of annual district conventions, and to the Rensselaer lodge or temple fell the honor of entertaining the first of these conventions in this district; and “right royally’’ was this pleasant but by no means slight duty of entertainment discharged. Every temple in the district but one was represented, and all the visiting delegates were entertained, as honored guests, at the homes of the resident members. The session of Wednesday P. M., opened in ritualistic form by Rensselaer Temple; Sister Scott, of Indianapolis, offering prayer. Mrs. Lottie H. Murray, M. E- C., of Rensselaer Temple, gave the welcoming address, in very fitting words; and which was as fittingly responded to by Sister Ella Swadener, of Logansport Temple. The ritualistic work was finely exemplified by Rensselaer Temple, the candidate being Mrs. Rena Bartoo. Reports of Temples represented were presented as follows.
