She was sixteen, sweet and pretty —a very charming creature. He was twenty-one nnd bashful. When the collection was taken up the young man commenced fishing in his pockets for a dime. His face expressed embarrassment as he whispered hoarsely: “I Imvn't got a cent; I changed my pants." The lady, who had been examining the unknown regions of a wojnan’s dress for her purse, turned a bright pink color as she replied: ‘•l'm in the same fix."
