Notice to Contractors. Nottce is hereby given to the Common Council of the City of Rensselaer, Ind., at a regular session to be held at the Council Chamber in said City on Monday July 25, 1898, at 8 o’clock P. M., will receive sealed bids for the construction of a sewer on the easterly side of Van Rensselaer Street from Clark Street to Makemself Ditch. Said sewer to be constructed of eight (8) inch vitrified sewer pipe in accordance with plans and specifications on file in the office of the City Clerk. The Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids. By order of the Common Council July 11th 1898. Schuyler C. Irwin, City Clerk. Republican State Convention. The Indiana Republican State Convention will be held at Tomlinson Hall in Indianapolis on Wednesday and Thursday, August 3rd and 4th, 1898. The Convention will be composed of 1616 delegates, and promises to be one of the most interesting and enthusiastic conventions ever held in the State. RAILROAD RATES.
