A Lake County Opinion.

Lowell Tribune (Republican) Grover Cleveland hauled down the American flag and Crumpacker by his vote sanctioned the act. Will the voters of the 10th Ind. district sanction the acts of both these men by returning Crumpacker to Congress. We think not. Crumpacker says in his letter to Mr. Thomas “that he would be sorry to have his position on the Hawaiian question cause any defection in the Republican party in this district.” What does he suppose the Republicans of this district to be made of? They are men quite as capable as Mr. Crumpacker and know what they want, and will resent at the polls, if they are compelled to, his misrepresentation of their views and his gratuitous insult to the President.
