‘‘Nothing In It.”

A wild and woolly rumor was in town today that the German fleet had become too obstreperous at Manila, and that Dewey had taught them better manners by sending the whole Outfit to join Spanish ships, at the bottom of the the sea. It was stated that the report was bulletined at Lafayette. The Republican telephoned down there and the answer was, “nothing in it.”
