The hot weather seems to be sprouting the fall divorce crop early. The first one reached the clerk s office Tuesday, and us usual Lawyer Douthit gets in his woik first.. The case is the latest developeiueut of the old trouble in the Gibson family. Rebecca A. Gibson sues for a divorce from Edwin T. Gibson. They were married Aug. 4th, 1896, and separated June 27th, 1898. They have no children by this marriage, but the plaintiff has some children, by a previous marriage. The charge is cruel and inhuman treatment, but no particulars are stated, only incompatibilty, and ill temper on the part of the defendant, which makes it impossible for the plaintiff to live with him. The case is set for the October term, and Jhe parties will have time enough to make up and fall out again several times before then.
