Another Convention Coming.
Rensselaer Xis right in it as the convention city of this district, as it ought to be, as being in the very geographical and population center of the ’district, and easily accessible from every point by railroads. The Democratic Congressional convention is the next that is slated to come here, at least practically so., Their district chairman, Edwin J. Forest, of Crown Point, has written here to the county chairman, David W. Shields, that it is now practically settled that the convention will come here. There is likely to be quite a lively contest for the Democratic nomination this year, and for that reason their convention is likely to be a much larger and much livelier affair than was the Republican convention of Inst Wednesday. The date of the Democratic convention will be nbout June 15th.
