Went Every Which Way.
The city elections in Indiana were worse mixed politically, than at any similar election in anyone’s remembrance. Citizens’ tickets were successful in many places, and in many others previous political standing reversed. The results in some neighboring places, are briefly mentioned. Attica the Republicans made gains, and elected all but one councilman. Lafayette, Republicans got everything but clerk and three councilmen. Hammond, the Democrats took everything in sight. Frankfort everything Republican. Logansport, which is usually Democratic,
this time is principally Republican. Goshen has gone Democratic. Among the fallen is B. F. Learning, our former townsman, for clerk. Marion, Anderson, Wabash, Greensburgj Alexandria, Bloomington, Crawfordsville, are a few of the places where the Republicans have everything, or very near it. Greenfield, Brazil, Elwood, Terre Haute and Valparaiso are places where the Democrats are on top.
