NORTHERN INDIANA. A few local rains fell; cool weather prevailed, except the last few days of the week; light frosts the earlier part of the week did no injury whatever. Wheat, rye and grass are in excellent condition and look fine most everywhere, the cool weather, especially, seems to have been favprable to the improvement nnd growth of wheat. Clover is coming up nicely; vegetables are doing well. Fruit trees are thickly covered will) bloom, except apples, which seems to be very backward in blooming. Oats are nearly all sown and Coming up nicely, but slowly, because of the cool, cloudy weather. Gardens are not all made yet, but coming up nicely where planted. Potatoes are nearly all planted and corning up in fine condition. Plowing advanced rapidly with the ground in very good condition; most corn ground is broken; planting corn will begin next week; some has been planted in Cass, Whitley, Wells and Grant counties, Meadows and pasturage look green and fresh and stock is out on pasture most everywhere.
