John H. Shields Paralyzed.
Saturday’s Daily: News came by telephone, soon after noon today, that our townsman, John H. Shields, had been found lying in the road paralyzed 2 miles south of Mt. Ayr. He was over helping his son, Harley Shields, on the Long farm, haul corn to market. He was brought to his home here, this afternoon. Dr. Alter was called and found his right side paralyzed. He is not wholly unconscious. Mr. Shields is quite old, and it is impossible to say how this attack will terminate. He had a previous attack, ten years ago.
