Rensselaer Semi-Weekly Republican, Volume 19, Number 67, Rensselaer, Jasper County, 29 April 1898 — Another Big Flag. [ARTICLE]
Another Big Flag.
Some $25 or S3O has been raised subscription to purchase another large flag for the hobse. It being desirable to keep a flag flying during the war, it was thought best to purchase a second flag, and preserve the present flag, presented by the D. A. R. for special occasions. It is also thought a good idea to have two very large flags in any case, so that on special occasions one can fly from the court house and the other from a cord suspended over the street, or any other suitable place. It is expected that the second flag will bo considerable larger than the one now belonging to the court house.
