How To Hold The Blackmailer Level

John P. Carr, of the Fowler Leader, is after Judge S. P. Thompson’s scalp these days, hot and heavy, and whacks him hard at every opportunity. There are at least two ways by which the Judge can secure respectful treatment from this fellow Carr. He can go down into his pocket after the stuff or he can threaten him with a t hrashing. A former Judge adopted the latter course, and Carr was so frightened that he never mentioned that judge’s name in his black-mailing sheet again.
