Wood-Hollister.
A very pleasant and lovely wedding occurred last Thursday night at the residence of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Hollister, in which Mr. Henry Raymond Wood and Miss Pearl Louise Hollister became husband and wife. The house was beautifully decorated with smilax and blooming plants. Only a small company consisting of the two families of the contracting parties. Rev. and Mrs. Jeffries, Mr. Fred Phillips and Miss Mattie Robinson were present to witness and participate in the ceremonies. The ceremony was performed by Rev. H. M. Middleton. Rey. C. D. Jeffries offerin" nn impressive prayer after they were pronounced r husband and wife. \ ‘ Mr. Phillips and Miss Robinson had dropped in unexpectedly but with a mild suspicion that “something was up,” so they were delegated to act as groomsman and bridesmaid, which they did in an elegant manner; (and probably got some useful experience.) After the hearty and generous congratulations were showered upon the happy couple an elegant menu of ice cream and cake was served. At this juncture the City Band began a lovely serenade. After playing a few pieces they were invited in and treated to refreshments after which they again played several pieces.
