The Democratic Convention.

The Democrats of Rensselaer held a convention Friday night, in the city hall, to nominate a ticket for the approaching city election. N. S. Bates was chairman of the meeting and W. R Nowels secretary. In the first ward B F. Fendig was nominated for councilman, his opponent for the nomination being Felix French. In the second ward John Eger was nominated by acclamation. It is understood he has declined to run. In the third ward W. H. Beam and C. W. Duvall were voted for, and Mr. Beam was nominated There was a pretty fair attendance at the convention.
