Lumbermen Strike.

Chippewa Falls, Wis., April 13. —The 400 mill employes of the Chippewa Lumber & Boom company, of this city, are out on a strike for a ten-hour day instead of 11, as has been the rule. Mass meetings were held in various halls and the men are determined not to return to work until their demands are granted. The company, of which F Weyerhauser is president, says it will shut the mill down rather than give in. This mill is the largest in the world and it will be a great injury to Chippewa Falls if it shuts down. There is much excitement here, but as yet the men are peaceable.
