A Resignation.

Chicago, April 11. —A circular has been issued by General Manager Samuel C. Stickney, of the Chicago Great Western railway, announcing the resignation of General Superintendent C. Shields, to take effect April 15. He will be succeeded by Raymond Du Puy, formerly of the Maple Leaf route. It is said Mr. Shields will be connected with an important railroad system in thb east, but has no plans for his immediate future. Mr. Du Puy is a resident of St. Paul, and is well known in railroad circles there and in Chicago.
