A Hammond dispatch says: Chas. F. Griffin, former Secretary of State and commander-in-chief of the Sons of Veterans of America, has tendered his services to Secretary Alger, of the War Department, and announces his readiness to go to the front at once, in the event of a conflict with Spain.
