To Oppose United Mine Workers.

Springfield, 111., April 4. —On April 11 the men employed in the coal mines in Illinois who are paid by the day will meet in this city to form an organization in opposition to the United Mine Workers of America. The grievance of the day men are that when the scale was raised at Chicago at the March conference of operators and miners , their wages were not increased. They want pay for ten hours’ work under the new scale for eight hours’ work.
