Important Move Forward
The Evening Republican Is Now A City Daily The Daily Press Dispatches Are Now A Regular Feature. Saturday’s Dally. Beginning with this issue the Evening Republican makes a great step forward. Heretofore, we think we could truly say that no town in Indiana, the size of Rensselaer, had a better daily paper. Now we are confident that we can truly say that no town of this size has so good a daily paper. At least if there is any town of this size which furnishes the general daily news service we do not know where it is. The form in which we give the news is of course much condensed from that of the large city papers, but for the generality of readers, that will be an advantage rather than a defect. Our service will cover the whole field, and will really be more accurate and trustworthy than the news in the big city papers; for the wild rumors which they put in to fill their vast expanse of space, will have no place in our service. Moreover much of our news will be much later than any given in the Chicago morning papers. By subscribing for the Evening Republican people can have the whole thing in the wsy of news, both local and general. The news service will be absolutely non-partizan and impartial in political matters, and the doings of all parties will be reported alike with equal fairness and fulness. A large number of free sample copies will be sent >out, for some days, and any one at whose house they sure left, are requested to examine them carefully, and then order the paper sent regularly. The sample copies sent out are free, and ntf pay will be asked for any papers left at your houses, until after you have ordered them of us or of our carriers or canvassers. We hope everyone who receives a sample eppy will conclude to become regular subscribers, long enough for a trial, at least.
