Congressman Crumpacker’s Views.

Congressman Crumpacker has written here stating his position on the Cuban question. He says: “The administration must take firm patriotic action upon the Cuban matter. There is no danger that Congress will adjourn before that matter is settled. The sentiment is quite universal that this oountry now must insist upon the absolute independence of Cuba, and if that brings war, let it come. I am in favor of that course of conduct. Ido not believe in de; laying any longer, and have faith in the wisdom and patriotism of the president, and believe that he will settle the matter at an early date, so that it will be entirely satisfactory to the country/’
