The Indianapolis Common Council passed resolutions urging thui war be declared against Spain if the naval court of Inquiry reports that Spain directly or indirectly caused the Maine disaster, and that the United States should insist upon the evacuation of Cuba by the Spanish army and suitable Indemnity for the loss of the Maine.
