Water work Formally Accepted.

The city waterworks were formally and finally accepted, at a special meeting of the city council Thursday night. As some further test of the mains is thought necessary, Mr. Horton, the contractor, agrees to deposit a certified check for SI,OOO, as a guarantee that he will make good any defect that may develope in any portion of the works, within 90 days. He reserves the right to withdraw the check and replace it with a bond, at any time.
