County Correspondence
McCO YSBURG. Mrs. Reed McCoy is on the sick list. A Junior Christian Endeavor was organized last Sunday at 4 P. M. Jessie Arnott was chosen President. Quite a delegation of delegates and citizens attended the county convention at Rensselaer last Monday. Curt Randle’s horse was seen tied in front of a house on Water street, last Sunday evening, and Barney Iliff walked on past Mr. McDonalds’. An explanation is very much desired from the boys of their conduct. Rastus Winters had a horse stolen last Monday night. They could track the horse a little ways but nothing definite has been found out yet. Mr. Arnott has been on an extended visit to Delphi. There are about 30 or 40 men engaged in graveling and raising the track between here and Pleasant Ridge. d Rye and wheat look very promising in this vicinity. Miss Dodd visited the school here last Wednesday. v Sohool closed last Thursday, March 24th, and an enjoyable time was had. The Hotel doors were opened and one hundred people partook of a bountiful dinner prepared by patrons and friends. The crowd then sojourned to the school house and listened to a good program, which was rendered by pupils and teacher.
