Rensselaer Is In It Again.
Will Get the Republican Congressional Convention. J* The meeting of the Republican district chairmen of this tenth district was held at Lafayette Thursday; and Chairman Hanley succeeded in securing the district nominating convention for Jasper county. It will be held here in Rensselaer, the geographical center of the district, and on the average, the most accessible point in the district. Its date is Wednesday, May 11th. The basis of representation is one delegate to every 100 Republican votes and one for every 50 over one hundred, It will be a large convention. Hammond was the only town voted for besides Rensselaer. Hammond received three votes and Rensselaer six. District Chairman McCoy, District Secretary C. E. Mills, and County Chairman Hanley were all that attended the Lafayette meeting from Rensselaer.
