The Meetings Closed.

The scries of meetings at the M. E. church, conducted by the evangelist, Rev. C. Fenwick Reed, and the pastor, Rev. H. M. Middleton, closed Sunday night. It has been quite successful revival, nnd in respect to the number of conversions and accessions to the church, remarkably so. These are stated to number about 80. There was somo expectation that the meetings would continue this week, under the conduct of Rev. M. 11. Apploby, of Hammond, but owing to the serious sickness of a sister he has found it impossible to come.
