WHEATFIELD.
Protracted meetings are now being held at the M. E. church. Duck hunting is in full blast. Harry Hart of Crown Point spent a week with Ward Marble. They put in the time hunting ducks of which they got a nice bag full. H. Marble has sowed 65 acres of oats. Nick Krietz is improving slowly after a severe spell of sickness. Ed Clark is able to be out again from the la grippe. An infant son, born to Mr. and Mrs. John Clark March 19, died March 21, and was buried at Wheatfield Cemetery, March 22. Perry Hamilton of Rensselaer, is visiting his brother S. W. Hamilton. B. J. Gifford returned home Sunday after a few days sojourn over his farms. Simon Fendig and wife visited with Rensselaer friends Sunday and Monday, returning home Tuesday.
