Mrs. Uptown—My servant girl is always breaking dishes. Do you have any trouble of that kind with yours? Mrs. Suburb—No, indeed; it keeps them so busy breaking records that they haven’t time to bother with the dishes. Mrs. Uptown—Breaking records? Why, what do you mean? Mrs. Suburb—Every girl I get tries to break the record of her predecessor as a short stayer. Turkey is more correctly written Turkia, the country of the Turks. The title, “the Ottoman empire,” was given in honor of Ottoman 1., who assumed the government of the empire abotit the year 1300.
