The Circuit Court,
Court adjourned Wednesday evening until next Monday. A great amount of probate business was disposed of, and quite a number of judgements by defaults entered, in civil cases. The state case against Joe Hordeman, who helped himself to his father’s horse and buggy, a few months ago, was dismissed for want of prosecution. The case of John L. Smith, of Walker Tp., who was held for attempted assault on a girl was dismissed. Gertie A. Snodgrass was given a divorce from Arthur L. Snodgrass, on the grounds of adultery and abandonment The plaintiff lives in Rensselaer but the defendant is in lowa. The charges against him were proven by depositions. Henry Zacher, of Newton Tp., a native of Germany, was given his final naturalization papers. Edwin P. Honan and Ray D. Thompson were admitted as members of the bar. Mr. Honan is our present postmaster, but whose term is nearly ended. Mr. Thompson is the son of Thomas Thompson, and is member of the graduating class of the state university law school.
