A St Patrick's Day Dance.

A grand dance was given at old Odd Fellows’ hall Thursday evening, in honor of St. Patrick's day. It was given under the joint auspices of the Old Peoples’ mid

the Young Peoples’ euchre clubs. The first half was an ordinary dance, and the last half is what is called a German. The grand march was led by Mr. E. P. Honan and Mrs. T. J. McCoy; The leaders in the German were Miss Purcupile and Mr. Delos Thompson. The music was furnished by Prof. Eddy’s orchestra, from Englewood. Refreshments were served at the Nowels’ House. The costumes, favors and decorations were all of the most elegant description, and had special reference to the occasion; the prevailing colors being green. In the matter of costumes it was one of the most elegant and. expensive affairs ever held here. There were thirty couples present. Those from abroad wore Mrs. Ewry, Miss Hammond and Mr. Sample of Lafayette; Misses Crampton, of Delphi and Rice of Chicago and Mr. Allen, of Battle Creek.
