The Revival.

Sunday was a great day at the Methodist church. The house was full in the morning and packed at night. Evangelist Reed preached two powerful sermons and gave a forceful talk to the young people in the afternoon. His morning sermon was on “God’s loving kindness is greater than life." He drew many striking and thrilling pictures in developing his theme. He showed the falacy and folly of the ordinary claim of men that business demands their violation of the Sabbath and other divine laws. Last night he presented and illustrated the two ways Eternal Death and Eternal Life. His incidents of death-bed scenes of (lying sinners and Christians that came under his own observation in the slums of Liverpool, England were graphic and touching. Several were converted in the after meeting at night, and 18 united with the church during the day.
