Death of Sylvester A. Austin.

Sylvester A. Austin died Friday March, 4th 1898, aged 65 years 11 months, 18 days. He was bom March 19, 1832 in Michigan and at the age of three years he came with his parents to Indiana. He was married to Hester Ann Rogers Aug- 7, 1851. To this union were born ten children, nine of whom are still living. He united with the Old German Baptist church Aug. 7, 1887, and of which he was a faithful member until death. Funeral services were conducted at the M. E. church by Revs. Aaron Metszer, of Peru Ind., and Abraham Miller, of Wheatfield. He was buried in Wheatfield cemetery. Mr. Austin has lived in Jasper county 21 years. Ho was a good neighbor and respected by all, The family has the sympathy of the entire neighborhood in their great loss.
