George Fanson lost a valuable horse by death Friday. O. Callahan did business in Surry Friday. There was a party at L. B. Hewitts Saturday night. All report a good time. Messrs. Michaels and Kneadler of Monticello visited at L. Beedy’s a few days this week. George Beedy and John Turner did shopping in Rensselaer Saturday. Mr. Bowlus did business in Rensselaer on Wednesday. Miss Eva Grigg spent Sunday at her home. Bob Bowers and Mr. Kaiser of DeMotte spent Sunday at Mr. Beedy’s. B. J. Gifford started his Cyclone dredge this week. Mr. Parkison of Rensselaer is working for G. Fanson. Frank Black cut quite a gash in his foot Saturday afternoon, while chopping wood in the timber. Have George Fanson do your house cleaning, he is a “daisy, nit.”
