A Birthday Surprise.

A very pleasant surprise party was given to Mr. C. D. Hopkins, last Sunday, March 6. It was in honor of his 77th birthday, but his age is many years in advance of his vitality. Upon a suggestion of giving him one “lick” for each year he was old, but Uncle Clint thought no one present ws able to do that without the help of Mr. Thrawls, the next most athletic person present. There were 34 present and all partook of a bountiful dinner. A picture was taken, in which, was represented four generations, and all wishing him many years of health and happiness left about 6 o’clock P. M.
