Denies the Charges.

Warden Harley of the Michigan City prison called upon Governor Mount yesterday and emphatically denied the charges of cruelty recently mudo against the deputy warden. He says the latter is one of the most efficient prison men in the country, and that since he came to the prison the “cat” has been abandoned. The only punishment now permitted is solitary confinement on a bread and water diet.
