Dowie to Build a Town

According to'reports in the city papers Dr. John Dowie, the Chicago faith healer faker, of continental notoriety, has secured the option on 5,000 acres of Newton county land ns a site for his proposal new colony. The land is in the northern part of Newton county. It is proposed to found a model town. The residents will be chosen for their industry and character. The colony is intended to support itself by doing manufacturing and farm work. It is predicted that a city of 20,0(X) inhabitants will soon be formed. All of which’ may he true and maybe not, probably not.
