Mesdames Mathews, Zea, Babb and Z. K, Smith are on the sick list this week. Misses Flora and Olla Henricks left Tuesday for the south. Their objective point was in North Carol-, ina. Wm. Rich is in town this week. He is ‘-looking around” with a view to returning again to the classic shades of Remington. s The Valentine Social at the Christian Church last Monday evening was a complete success. Owing to the inclemency of the weather, there was not quite as many broken hearts mended as would otherwise have been the case. Mala Garrison who has been sick with typhoid fever again is recovering-

Cards are out for the wedding of Mr. Charles Brand and Miss Cora Parks, Wednesday, Feb. 28, at 7:30 P. M.. at the residence of the bride. It will be a very private affair only intimate friends of the family being present. The happy couple expect to set up housekeeping in the residence now otcupied by Fred Donnelly. The Ladies’ aid society of the M. E. church gave a Martha Washington tea party at the Stiller building last Tuesday r Feb. 22. Born. Sunday, Feb. 13, to Mr. and Mrs. Dawson, a son. Miss Minnie Dickey who has been visiting her sister, Mrs. J. D. Carson, expects to return to her home in Marion this week.
