Water and Lights For Court

House.

The County Commissioners and the City Council of Rensselaer have reached an agreement whereby the court house is to be lighted and watered from the city’B light and waterworks plant. Th§ terms agreed on are that all the water needed in the court house and jail, and sheriff’s residence, including all the rooms in which water is used, all water closets and the grounds outside, for SBSO per year. Tho lights will bo governed by a meter and the rates be 10 cents per thousand watts. The contract is for one year and if nut found mutually satisfactory it will be changed or abrogated. This will, no doubt, be much better for tho county than to install and run their own water and light plants and also be better for Rensselaer.
