Winamac Has The Correct “Idee,”
Winamac Republican. According to the _ Rensselaer Republican the Electric Railway scheme is not entirely dead yet. Rensselaer, Remington and other towns in that section of the state are deeply interested in securing more railroad facilities and are not afraid to offer a little bonus in the way of cash and right of way to secure the same. Arrangements are being made to hold a meeting in the near future at Rensselaer or some other point on that proposed route to ascertain what can be done. Whatever is j done over there in the way of encouraging the road should be suplemented by Winamac, Francesville and other parts of Pulaski county traversed by the road. The road if properly constructed which it would have to be in order to be bonded, would soon pay back. in taxes every dollar asked as a bonus.
