Miss Ilattie Hulce of Peru, is visiting her sister Mrs. Erwin Miller. William Remley of Wheatfield, was seen on our Blackford streets Saturday. Mrs. John Nichols is reported very sick with inflamatory rheumatism. Jacob Myers Jr. and family have moved out near the Baum’s bridge. The children of Erwin Miller are sick with chicken-pox, Henry Linzbach and family intend moving to Benton Co. this week. Cheap Louie is in our little town again. John McCurtaia and family moving on the Alec Hurley farm down on Possum run. T. H. Hurley, our merchant, is busy dressing poultry this week for shipping. Mathew Linzbach of Benton Co., is at home this week on a visit. There were church services at the Independence school house last Sunday evening. Joseph Pullins was in the north part of Barkley buying up stock the first of the week. The ground hog got to see his shadow Wednesday.
