A Perennial Family Fight.

The perennial E. T. Gibson family fight was before Squire Burnham again, Monday. The trouble took place Friday. It seems that Gibson had driven away Wallace Stivers, his 17 year old step-son, and when the boy went back after his clothes, Gibsorr reasoned with him with a hatchet in his hand. The boy talked back in kind, and for prudential reasons kept a firm grip on a shovel handle. Gibson had the boy arrested for provoko and the trial took place Monday. The result was that the Squireacquitted the boy. Whether he would have acquitted Gibson had he been the accused party, is another question.
