John Graves, Dr. Sohwier, John Pinter and Dell Brown went to Rensselaer last Friday. Homer Fields, of Chicago is visiting his mother, Mrs. E. W. Phelps, at this place. c A cold wave struck this locality the fore part of the week. Chip Fields, who has been staying with his mother here for some time, went to Valparaiso, Monday. John Whitaker was in Rensselaer Monday. Simon Fendig was in Rensselaer Tuesday. There are several cases of chickenpox in town.
We understand that one of our saloon keepers was SQUght by the grand jhry. Sam Remley was visiting friends at Crown Point the fore part of the week. J Mrs. John Biggs, who has been a sufferer from consumption for several months, died Sunday morning. She leaves a husband with six small children. The funeral was held at the house Monday afternoon. Rev. Burton officiating. Interment in the Wheatfield cemetary.
