BARKLEY- • Rev. Brady will preach, at the Christian church Sunday. Rev. C. H. Weston did not preach last Sunday bnt sent a minister to take his place. Florence Roppe was on the sick list the fore part of the week. Joe Leach went to Chicago Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Dr. Powell of 111, visited Wm. Tanners last week. Mrs. Freeman returned home Wednesday after a twelve days visit at Francesville, A variety social will be given at the Randle school house on Friday evening, Jan. 28th. Girls come and bring something to put on the table and the boys will buy your supper. Geo. Hammerton, Teacher. Mr. Davis of McCoysburg, visited Mrs. Lew Tanner last week. Mrs. John Norman has been >yThe Christian Endeavor had a very interesting meeting Sunday evening, the subject was “Fishers of men, how to win souls.” Leader was Joseph Tanner, they also elected new officers, Cora Smith, President, Mary Richardson, Vice President and Joseph Tanner Sec’y and Treasurer.
