Obituary.
, Mrs. Addison Parkison Barbara A. Parkison, wife of Addison Parkison, was born in Champaign Co, Ohio, May 26, 1832. She died in Rensselaer, Ind., Sunday, Jan. 16th 1898, atr the age of 65 years, ''l months and 20 days. She was the daughter of John and Mary Kenton, and with them moved to Jasper Co. in 1840, being thus among our early settlers having lived in this county the long period of nearly 58 years. She was married to Addison Parkison in 1850. They lived on ยป their farm in Bari ley Tp., until 1883, when they removed to Rensselaer where they resided until her death. Seven children were born to them, only three of whom, Mrs. Martha Willey, of Elmyra, Ark., Mrs. Julia Moore, and Miss Stella, survive her and with their father mourn the loss of a devoted mother and-wife. Four brothers and threesisters also survive her. She united with the Christian church of Barkley Tp., in 1866 and showed by her every day and consistent life that she was a practical Christian. She was always cheerful and all who knew her were her friends, and with ail her relatives mourn their loss. Iler funeral was held Tuesday forenoon, Jan. 18th at the residence Rev. it. M. Middleton, pastor of Trinity M. E. church conducting the religious services. Interment in Weston cemetery.
